Interesting shift to show that the traveled pathway was orthodoxy, and that the birds were various leaders in orthodoxy.
The implication is clear: “stay in the boat”….and “we will never lead you astray”. When according to your example, those are the very leaders who prevent you from seeing new things (the seeds), let alone being influenced by those seeds.
This actually exceptional and genius to turn things on their head and have the ability to analyze from a different perspective. The meaning of out of the box understanding.
Keep up the good work, and well I assume ideas just come and go. We can’t be fertile to every thought and idea, so we must chose the path and orthodoxy we want to create for ourselves. I guess we should make a path that lead to a Christ of our own understanding.
